Happy weekend friends! It's been a while but that's pretty much the story of my life. I recently did a poll over on Instagram asking what kind of content you guys are crazing and had an overwhelming response for home decor! It honestly came as a bit of a surprise to me because I would not necessarily categorize myself as home blogger or an interior designer but it is one of my fave hobbies to create a beautiful living space!
Whenever I'm looking for places to decorate my home I always forget about Etsy. I tend to frequent Target and Marshalls and don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan, but I love the feeling of knowing that what I found is one of a kind. I love supporting makers and creatives and knowing that my purchase is helping to fund someone's dream or hobby! When Joe and I were newly married and he was in school I sold handmade jewelry and crafts on Etsy to help us make ends meet. I love knowing that there are real people on the other side of my purchase, so I thought I'd curate a little collection of items you can purchase from Etsy makers that will elevate the style of your home!

Throw pillows are an amazing way to spruce up your decor on a budget. I love to switch them out as the seasons change... or as my mood changes.
Planters are one of my favorite items to snag because they don't take up a lot of space but they make a big statement on a coffee table and they can make your bookshelves pop!
Light fixtures are an incredible way to elevate the style of your home without breaking the bank! There are so many handmade one of a kind pieces that cost the same or less than you'll find at big box stores!
Rugs are an item that I personally prefer to buy cheap from online retailers because we are SO HARD on them in our home. Between the dog and the toddler purchasing a vintage turkish rug is just not in the cards for me... yet. However, there are some adorable kid's rugs that encourage imagination and play without ruining the "theme" of your perfectly curated nursery!
Spice up the curb appeal of your home with a house number plaque, a unique vintage door knocker, a handmade wreath for your door or a funny door mat!
Open shelving is all the rage right now and I always get questions about how to style them. One of my favorite ways is to fill them with beautiful dishes and vintage glassware that you'll actually use! That way it doesn't feel like a waste to purchase "decor" items that don't serve a purpose.
Removable wallpaper is, in my opinion, the best thing since... regular wallpaper. There are so many different options! You can go bold or minimalistic, you can dress up a rental kitchen with peel and stick tile, you can put up a mural, and the best part is nothing is permanent so you don't have to worry if it's something you want forever!
Wall art is one of the easiest things to pick up at Target but I swear, if I see one more of that dang buffalo print i'm gonna freak out. - no offense to the buffalo, I just love the idea of buying art that speaks to you. Maybe you love the colors and it makes you feel happy. Or maybe it's a quote that you love or maybe it's just a curated set of prints from one of your favorite locations! I wish we could bring back personalized art into our homes and Etsy is an amazing place to buy from artist all over the world!

Ive done some decluttering and remodeling to my house so I can buy more decorations! I found a rolloff dumpster rental that made it easy and affordable. I love your style and I appreciate your post! Thanks!
